FREAKSHOW
Ibn Michael Hilliard better known as FREAKSHOW in the entertainment business, was born on July 19th, 1983 in Jacksonville, Fl. The oldest out of four brothers and one sister in a single parent home quickly had to grow up and assume the role of the man of the house. All this pressure was leading him to become a statistic and end in prison or the cemetery.
On November of 2008 Ibn met a guy by the name of David Griffin, who heard Ibn sing in a close relative funeral. Mr. Griffin approach Ibn and told him “It’s a blessing to have a voice like yours, that can touch someone’s heart like that”. That’s when Ibn realized that his talent was real and that music is what he wants to do and at the same time he wanted to touch peoples life’s with his talent. Even though he sings he soon discover that rapping is what he really wanted to do, however, he wasn’t going to stop singing. He soon started to write and going to local studios in the area where they gave him the name of “FREAKSHOW”. Going to the studio and carrying his writing pad everywhere he went became part of his daily routine.
In April 2010 he became part of the Underworld Boyz and dropped his first single “I Fuck With You”, that to his surprise sold over 8,000 copies in the first 3 months. With a hit single and starting be noticed by influential people in the entertainment business Freakshow was now consider a local sensation and he kept bringing new sounds and innovative ideas to the Hip-Hop and R&B followers. This buzz landed him appearances in local events in the Jacksonville, FL and surrounding areas. He also participated in the Soule Model’s Charity Event in Baltimore, MD, Chamaleon Club Café event hosted by Dr. Doom in Orange Park, FL, The Experience Tour in Tallahassee, Fl, and Young African America Association Charity Event in Jacksonville, FL among many other life performances.Live Performance
In October 2010 “FREAKSHOW” like many other talented artists started associating himself with the wrong crowd and even though his career was looking very promising street quick money to support his family was a big distraction. And as consequence of these actions he encounter problems with the justice system. Now behind bars he had time to reflect in the errors that he made and he knew he had to put himself together cause a lot of people depended on him. He started to write and had a pretty good idea how he wanted to do things when he got out. In March 2011 shortly after his release and re-inventing himself he hop back in the studio and handling business accordingly.
This days with a team behind him from manager (Miss. E at N.Y.C.
